What is the code that I have to enter when clicking for credits?
Every once in awhile, you will see this message:
| Thanks for Clicking! You earn 5 credits when the you entered 53 code in below TEXTBOX. Do not close the window. Warning : You must enter code to get credits. |
Please enter the number shown in the message in the textbox and you will earn the specified number of credits. We have to do this to make sure that real human beings are clicking on the links instead of software programs. Thanks!
I didn't get my confirmation email even though I tried to have it sent many times.
Providers sometimes block email from certain websites based
on the content and volume of the emails being sent. Since we
send out approximately 500,000 emails per day with make
money related information, we are at high risk of getting
blocked. However please be advised that every attempt is
made to enforce as high a delivery as possible for a website
of our nature. Among many other things, we have hired a
consultant that charges $150/hour for his email delivery
expertise and he works for us on a fairly regular basis.
In any case, sometimes email does get blocked despite our
best efforts. What some providers don't realize is that you
have specifically requested to receive our email through a
double opt-in subscription process, which is considered
acceptable practice, therefore our email should not be
blocked.
At this point you have two options:
1) Contact your provider and ask them to unblock emails
from listjoe.com. Let them know that you specifically
requested to receive these emails and that we follow the
accepted double opt-in subscription process.
2) Follow the instructions on this page: http://listjoe.com/index.php?action=getouremail
Note: If you have already tried a gmail address, you may have to try another one. Once in awhile a gmail address will simply not work despite our 99% deliverability.
I submitted the wrong email address, what can I do?
You don't have to create a new account.
Go to http://listjoe.com/index.php?action=getouremail and follow step 2 to change your confirmation email address. You do not need to have a gmail or yuhknow email address to make that form work.
What are the credits for and how do I use them?
Credits are used to determine how many people will view your email message. Go to Mailings - Send Mail and fill out the form to send your ad to other members. One of the fields on this form asks you if you'd like to spend credits. If you spend 1 credit, your message will reach 1 recipient. If you spend 1000 credits, it goes to 1000 recipients and so on.
I have a website I would like to promote/advertise. How do I do that with you?
To promote your website, log into your website and go to Mailings - Send Mail and fill out the form. Your ad will be sent to a number of recipients as specificied on that page. Enter the website you'd like to advertise in the credit clicking link field. When someone clicks on this they'll earn credits, and also get taken to the website you are advertising.
How do I earn credits so that I can send mail?
There is a link in each email sent to you from other ListJoe members under the headline "Click this link to earn credits". The email is from ListJoe.com and the email address it is sent from is members@listjoe.com. Click that link and a webpage will load. Wait until the timer runs out and you'll earn the specified amount of credits. You earn 5-20 credits per email. The amount is determined randomly.
Can I trade in the credits for cash?
At this time we don't allow trading in credits for cash.
I'm getting too many emails from ListJoe.com
I agree that it can be annoying to see all those ListJoe.com emails in between your important other emails and personal items, so here's some advice that might help. I'd hate for you to lose out on a great advertising opportunity.
-> How to reduce the clutter
Setup an email filter for listjoe emails so that they automatically go into a special folder.. All our emails come from listjoe.com.
Then, at your leisure, you can browse through this folder and only click the ones that interest you. And it won't clutter your main inbox. Then you can mass delete the old ones every once in awhile.
For help on setting up an email filter, type:
YOUR EMAIL SOFTWARE filter email tutorial
Put the name of your email software there. For example:

-> Why getting emails is GOOD
If you think about it, the more emails you get, the better it is because:
a) You can earn more credits.
b) You get to see what's being advertised out there. This is like your own little market research center, if you see the same programs being advertised over and over, then chances are, THEY SELL!
c) Get ideas for headlines and ad copy. Did something grab your attention? Why do you think that is? Analyze other people's ads and try to figure out why they worked on you. If they worked on you, they probably work on other people too.
d) Join people's newsletters and lists! If someone asks you to join their list, you should join it and learn from them, or at the very least, watch how they conduct business. If someone is diligently building a list and contacting it on a regular basis, then they are someone to know and learn from.
e) If you don't get our emails, then you lose your privilege to advertise to other members. It's only fair that the people who send out emails have to read the emails from others as well, that's why we detect any invalid email address and suspend the account if we get a bounce until at which point you can supply us with an active email address.
Is ListJoe considered spam?
The short answer is no.
The long answer is that it is not considered spam for the following reasons:
1) We require all members to confirm their email address before joining, that means they have to click a confirmation link that verifies that they indeed want to subscribe to the list.
2) We clearly broadcast our email schedule on the signup form. In fact, we take it a step further and require you to agree to receive up to, and perhaps more than 15 emails/day.
3) We require you to accept our terms of service which further outlines that we will send you email.
4) No email address is shared with any other member. All email addresses are kept on file and hidden from users.
5) One click cancel links in every email that is broadcasted, and we honor all requests.
6) All subscribe requests are stored on file, with ip addresses and date of joining.
7) Our terms of service allow us to actually sue anyone who causes us to shut down due to their spam complaint.
8) We follow all acceptable guidelines and practices for sending email, including removing inactive accounts among many other things.
Therefore if members are on this list, they have gone through at least three steps to confirm that yes, they are signing up to this list, and yes they will receive our mail.
I'm not getting emails from ListJoe anymore, what happened?
Providers sometimes block email from certain websites based
on the content and volume of the emails being sent. Since we
send out approximately 500,000 emails per day with make
money related information, we are at high risk of getting
blocked. However please be advised that every attempt is

At this point you have two options:
1) Contact your provider and ask them to unblock emails
from listjoe.com. Let them know that you specifically
requested to receive these emails and that we follow the
accepted double opt-in subscription process.
2) Get a gmail.com account and start using it to receive
ListJoe emails. Our deliverability to gmail is close to 99%.
In order to do this, simply go to Profile –> Email Settings
and update your list email with your new gmail address.
Note: If you have already tried a gmail address, you may have to try another one. Once in awhile a gmail address will simply not work despite our 99% deliverability.
How can I cancel my account?
You can cancel your account by logging into the member's area
and going to Your Account ? Cancel Account.
If you don't know your login details, you can have them sent to you on the login page.
Note: This action can not be reversed!
I have a new email address, can you change it? How do I change my email address?
You can change your email by logging into the member's area
and going to Your Account ? Email Settings.
The contact email is the email we used to send you sale notifications, password reminders and ot her important notifications. The list email is the email that receives all the ads from other members. Both email addresses must be active and verified.
I'm not getting very many impressions to my Opportunity Ad, can you explain why?
The opportunity ad is shown to your downline and only if they click Opportunity ! in the member's area.
This feature really benefits people who have grown a large downline. If you have a small number of people in your downline, you may only get a few hits.
We are changing this around so that the opportunity ad gets a lot more visibility. We expect to have this completed by September 2008. All current members will benefit.
I just upgraded to gold, according to your salesletter I
can send 3000 emails every 3 days, but when I try to enter
3000 credits I get a message saying that I don't have enough
credits. Why?
When you become a gold member, it simply means that each
mailing goes to a default 3000 people (or 500 for bronze,
1500 for silver). The credit system is separate from the
bonuses you get as a paid member.
Therefore, if you are a gold member and you enter 0 credits
on the send mail form, it will go to 3000 Listjoe members.
If you enter 500 credits, it will go to 3500. If you enter
2200, it will go to 5200 people.
People are using frame breakers to cheat me out of
credits.
Once in awhile, someone will advertise a site or product,
or have a website themselves which automatically detects if
it's in a frame, and then breaks out of it. This means
credits can't be awarded. This is something that occurs
on their end and we cannot control it.
For security reasons, the only way to credit you properly is
through frames, this means that we unfortunately can't credit
you for any lost credits due to frame breakers.
I was just on the upgrade page and I am confused, why
can't I pay $197/year for gold like I saw somewhere else on
the site. Can I see that offer again?
When you first signed up to Listjoe, you were taken to a
one-time-offer page where you could purchase a gold
membership to ListJoe and 6 different, related bonus
packages for just $197. If you don't take that offer, you
can still get gold membership in the member's area, but it's
at our regular, reducted price of $197 for 6 months, and you
don't get all the bonuses.
While you are technically not supposed to see the offer
again, we understand if there was a technical reason, or
some sort of confusion. I've deleted your first visit so you will
see the one time offer the next time you login.
Please note that this will definitely be the last time you see it, so be
sure to take us up on the offer if you can.
I made a sale and I haven't been paid my commission. When are commissions paid?
Commissions are paid on or around the 10th of each month for all previous month's sales.
Why is my account in suspended mode? What does this mean and how can I unsuspend it?
In order to ensure fairness, we require your email address is functional and can receive mail from us. Your account is put in suspended mode if we get a bounce notice from your email.
If this happens, you will get this message after you login, or if you try to send mail:

To unsuspend your account, you can try to have a confirmation link sent to you or you can update your list email address. You can choose the appropriate option in the error message.
I can't find my username or password, can you tell me what it is.
